Maa Warriors Rugby Football Club

We are Narok’s first and only premier RFC (Rugby Football Club), located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley in Narok, Kenya. As an official affiliate of the Kenya Rugby Union, we strive to teach young men and women life skills, dedication, health and wellness, and work ethic through engaging them on our programs. The Maa Warriors RFC play in a nation-wide league throughout Kenya. We established our RFC in 2018 and are actively searching for opportunities to engage more youths, play more matches, and join the highest and most elite level of rugby competition in East Africa!

Social Impact

As Narok Rugby Union and Maa Warriors Rugby Club, we aim to help and accept young boys and girls of all backgrounds to help mold and ascertain high heights in their future endeavors in both sports and other careers.

We have had team members from broken home families and orphaned young boys join our Maa Warriors Family and thus far they are progressing positively. In the last three years, we have had significant achievements within our club The Maa Warriors RFC. These are achievements attained by the positive progression of these team players, and among our boys two of them received great opportunities to join higher institutions to further their careers.

They are Thomas Okeyo who plays for Griffons RFC, South Africa debuted in 2021, and Kollian Maasai who plays for KCB RFC, one of Kenya's top team in the Kenya Cup League!

How Can You Help?

As a recently-established rugby club, we are actively looking for sponsors to help us further our mission and fund our community projects, purchase gear (uniforms, balls, protective equipment, training equipment, etc.), and assist with team travel expenses. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor a one-time donation to The Maa Warriors RFC, please contact us below. We’d love to answer any questions you may have about our growing rugby community in East Africa!

We have created a Sponsorship Proposal for Phase One of Development of Rugby in Narok County, which encompasses our various social programs and most urgent needs.

Our club name, The Maa Warriors, is a tribute to the famous Maasai tribe of Kenya. Our RFC is located in the heart of Maasailand, where people from around the world come to see the culture and traditions of one of Africa’s most prolific tribes - the Maasai. Maasai boys leave their families to live in the forest for two years with their age mates to learn to hunt, survive, and receive wisdom from elders. Once they complete this intense right of passage and finally return to society, they are celebrated as they’ve become morans, or warriors. Our club name represents the ferocity and dedication it takes for a young Maasai boy to become a warrior - and we take that same intensity onto the rugby pitch!
